Peer Review Process
JANOLI International Journal of Management Science is committed to maintaining a fair, rigorous, confidential, and transparent peer-review process that supports the quality and integrity of published research.
1. Initial editorial screening
All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's aims and scope, originality, completeness, methodological quality, and compliance with submission requirements.
2. Originality and integrity checks
Manuscripts may be screened using similarity-detection tools and other appropriate research-integrity checks. Editors will assess potential concerns contextually rather than relying solely on a similarity percentage.
3. Independent external review
Manuscripts that pass initial screening will be evaluated by independent reviewers with appropriate subject expertise. The journal proposes a double-anonymous review model, subject to implementation through suitable editorial procedures.
Ordinarily, at least two independent reviewer reports should be obtained for research articles. Reviewers will evaluate originality, theoretical contribution, research design, data quality, analytical methods, interpretation, relevance, and ethical compliance.
4. Editorial decisions
Following review, the editor may decide to accept the manuscript, request minor revisions, request major revisions, or reject it. The responsible editor makes the final decision after considering the reviewer reports and the manuscript's overall scholarly merit.
5. Revision and resubmission
Authors must submit a revised manuscript and a point-by-point response addressing reviewer and editor comments. Revised submissions may undergo further review.
6. Conflicts of interest
Editors and reviewers must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and withdraw from the review process where impartiality may reasonably be questioned.
7. Confidentiality
Manuscripts and reviewer reports must be treated confidentially. Unpublished information must not be used for personal, commercial, or professional advantage.
8. Appeals and complaints
Authors may submit a reasoned appeal identifying substantive factual errors or procedural concerns. Appeals will be reviewed impartially by an editor who was not directly responsible for the original decision, where practicable.
9. Editorial independence
Decisions will be based on academic merit, research integrity, relevance, and compliance with journal policies. Payment, institutional prestige, personal relationships, or commercial considerations must not improperly influence editorial decisions.
10. Review timelines
The journal will publish realistic target timelines after establishing and monitoring its editorial workflow. Actual performance will be reviewed periodically to ensure timely and responsible manuscript handling.
