Indexing and Abstracting

JANOLI International Journal of Engineering aims to improve the discoverability, accessibility, and long-term preservation of its published research.

The journal should develop and maintain a reliable digital publishing infrastructure that supports accurate metadata, stable article URLs, accessible full text, complete archives, and appropriate persistent identifiers.

Digital Metadata and Article Identification

Each published article should have complete and consistent bibliographic metadata, including:

Article title

Author names and institutional affiliations

Abstract and keywords

Publication date and article type

References and citation information

Persistent identifier, where applicable

Licensing and copyright information

Funding and relevant ethical declarations

Metadata should be checked for accuracy and made available through appropriate technical systems.

12.2 DOI Registration

The journal intends to support persistent identification of eligible publications through DOI registration where an appropriate registration arrangement is in place.

DOIs should be registered through an authorized registration agency, with accurate metadata and functioning resolution links.

DOI registration improves identification and linking but does not independently certify research quality or guarantee indexing.

12.3 Google Scholar and Scholarly Discoverability

The journal should follow Google Scholar's published technical and content requirements, including accessible article full text, appropriate bibliographic metadata, stable URLs, and clear article-level records.

Coverage and continued inclusion are determined by Google Scholar's policies and automated systems and cannot be guaranteed by the publisher.

Future Evaluation by Scopus and Web of Science

The journal aims to develop the editorial quality, publication record, technical infrastructure, and scholarly contributions necessary for possible future evaluation by Scopus and the Web of Science Core Collection.

Its development priorities include:

Consistent publication frequency and complete publication archives

A clearly defined scope and credible editorial governance

Rigorous and documented peer review

Original research of demonstrable scientific and engineering significance

Verifiable editorial-board credentials and author affiliations

Transparent ethics, correction, and retraction policies

Accurate references, metadata, and persistent identifiers

Appropriate international scholarly participation

Evidence of scholarly engagement and citation relevance

Sustainable digital access and preservation

Compliance with applicable technical and ethical standards

The journal recognizes that indexing services independently evaluate journals according to their own selection criteria and assessment procedures.

Indexing status statement: The journal should not claim current inclusion in Scopus, the Web of Science Core Collection, or SCIE unless that status has been independently confirmed in the relevant official database. Preparation for evaluation or submission of an application does not imply acceptance.
